Does my buyer / seller have to be on Tallysticks?


Tallysticks is designed to be collaborative and is a tool for buyers and sellers to work together.

But, you don’t both have to be on Tallysticks at the same time. Terms of Sale can be created by one party and sent for approval to the other party who can review and accept them at their convenience.

Do I need to download any software?


Tallysticks is available online through most modern web browsers. There is no need to download or install any software.

Can I use Tallysticks on multiple devices?

Tallysticks works on most modern web browsers, including larger-size iPad and Android tablets.

At the moment, mobile web browsers are not fully supported.

Can I use it as part of a team?


When you sign-up, you will be asked to create a business organisation account and you can add team members to this account.

Can I use this with my agent?


You can add your agent to your business organisation account.

Can my buyer / supplier use this with their agent?


You buyer/seller can add their agent to their business organisation account.

Do I need to learn a complicated system to use Tallysticks?


Tallysticks is simple and intuitive. We have tested the software with importers and exporters all over the world and they have said how easy it is to use.

What if I have a problem as I use Tallysticks?

As part of our customer service, we have included “Help Points” on every screen of the app.

It looks like this:

If you have a question, click the icon and you’ll get some helpful information.

If that information doesn’t answer your question, you can use the same button to contact our customer support team.

How are Tallysticks contracts legally-binding?

Orders negotiated on Tallysticks are only binding once both trade partners Approve the Terms of Sale.

Once orders are Approved by both trade partners, it is a legal commitment. Approved orders can be Revoked by mutual consent.

As a default, contracts are governed by English law. This can be amended in the app via Additional Clauses.

How does this work with my other documents?

Tallysticks allows you to store and share PDF versions of your trade documents with your trade partner.

Files are backed up in the cloud and stored securely, and your organisation can access them at any time.

Where is my data stored and is it secure?

Tallysticks uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) - the same modern, secure cloud infrastructure as some of the most trusted internet companies, including banks.

All customer data stored on AWS and is encrypted using the strongest industry-standard algorithms.

And, access control is locked down with multi-factor authentication.

How can I access my data?

Contact and we’ll work with you to get this sorted.

What languages is Tallysticks in?

At the moment, the app is only available in English.

If you wish, you and your trading partner can use any language in the in-app chat.

What is a trade partner?

At Tallysticks, we believe that buyers and sellers are actually partners.
